Geneviève LE CAMUS [1693-1760] Abbess of LA FERTÉ MILON (Aisne) for 36 years. Daughter of Nicolas Le Camus, Commander of the King's Orders. Letter written and signed by her hand "Le Camus Abbess", 1 page small in-4 plus address page with handwritten postmark "acquitted in St Just", red wax seal with the Arms partly broken by the opening of the letter but well readable, January 25, 1754, to Mr. de PRONLEROY in Pronleroy in Picardie (OISE) "The present, Sir, is to give you notice that I have not received the last year of the pension and maintenance of Mademoiselle de LANCRY [the Lancrys, by marriage, had become Lords of Pronleroy] our boarder, according to your feelings and my will I want to be paid with exactitude, give your orders, I beg you, you must make yourself obey. Due at Christmas. I am, Sir very perfectly your very humble and very obedient servant" - And in subscription: "My compliments, please to Madame de Pronleroy. My nephew de Langeron got married on the 14th of this month" [Charles Claude Andrault de Langeron his nephew was the son of his sister Elisabeth Le Camus].
