GERMANY - HITLERIAN YOUTH - KESTING (Johanna):... - Lot 250 - Vermot et Associés
GERMANY - HITLERIAN YOUTH - KESTING (Johanna): Prüfungsarbeit der St. Johanna Kesting für Herrn Prof. Dr. Kade. Thema: Erziehungsarbeit im B.D.M. One volume in-4 paperback, 65 pages + plates h.t. (spine reinforced with adhesive). Rare review work entirely typed, and illustrated with black and white photographs, describing the educational work done by the German Girls' League. 1941. The Bund Deutscher Mädel or BDM in French: "the League of German Girls" is the German movement for girls aged 10 to 18 during the Third Reich, the only one authorized after the Nazis came to power in 1933. Among these girls, the youngest - aged 10 to 14 - were directed to the Jungmädelbund, an organization attached to the BDM. The BDM was in fact the female branch of the Hitler Youth. All other organizations were incorporated or banned by the regime; by the law of December 1, 1936, membership in the movement became mandatory. From 1937 until its dissolution in 1945, the BDM was led by the psychologist Jutta Rüdiger.
