Nasa. LUNAR ORBITER 2 mission. First close-up view of the lunar crater COPERNIC, one of the largest craters on the lunar surface exposed to the Earth. The hills rising out of the flat ground are 300 metres high and slope 30°. The distance from the base of the photograph to the horizon is approximately 240 kilometers, and the mountains in the background rise to approximately 900 meters.
