MILITARIA / Personal diary of Commandant de NOE (William Louis Olivier de Noé, Le Vésinet 1881-1950, grand-cousin of Cham cartoonist Amédée de Noé), from 1900 to 1929: 210-page moleskin-covered notebook (11 x 17 cm), in which he retraces his entire military career virtually day by day (naming his superiors): 13th Dragoons, 2nd Chasseurs d'Afrique (1904), 2nd Spahis (1913), 7th Spahis (1921), 6th Chasseurs d'Afrique (1922) and Spahis 1922-1929), he recounts his campaigns in Algeria and Morocco, the war in 1916-17 in Aisne, Champagne and Lorraine.
