He pushed GASTON to reconcile himself with King LOUIS XIII and to break the marriage he had contracted with the Duke of Lorraine's sister. He was rewarded with the Gift of the Seigniory of AIGUILLON, erected as a Duchy-peace under the name of PUYLAURENS (1634). But his favor did not last long. He was arrested and died in prison at the Château de Vincennes on July 1, 1635) -
