LEOPARD. Parchment of 1530 (22,5 x 15) signed "Paulus Leopardus of Colombarus" Signature in the Cartridge of an engraved wood representing a strange erect Leopard; A leopard, the ideogram of his surname. The engraver seems to have never seen a leopard to create the model. It is rather from the Fantastic Bestiary of the Middle Ages. Also a calligraphy inspired by the leopard. The scroll begins with the words: "In nomine domini amen...". Latin text to be studied.
