SEIGNEURIE D'AIGNES (Aignes-et-Puypéroux 16) "CENSIVE BOOK OF THE SEIGNEURIAL RENTS due annually to the Land Seigneurie et Jurisdiction d'AIGNES, for the portion of Monsieur le Marquis de MASTIN, Seigneur d'AIGNES, Lord of the said Land for the year 1788". Handwritten notebook of 16 pages (38 x 25.5 cm) The MASTIN Pierre-Auguste-Anne-César, known as the Count of Mastin, Lord of Aignes, of Coursault, Montmalon, etc... He was born in La Rochelle on October 1st 1721, he became a cavalry captain in the King's regiment. Then Chamberlain and falconer to the Duke of Orleans. In 1780, he acquired the fiefdom of Maine-Guilhen, parish of Aignes, from Marc Robin, for 3072 pounds. He was qualified as a Knight of Saint-Louis. He died at the Château d'Aignes, in Angoumois, on 28 December 1784.
