ROBESPIERRE. 1794. ASSIGNATES. Excerpt from the Registers of Orders of the PUBLIC SALUTY COMMITTEE of the National Convention, of 27 Prairial Year 2 (15 June 1794) - signed (impr.) Carnot, Lindet, Robespierre, Collot-d'Herbois, C. A. Prieur, B. Barère, Couthon, Billaud-Varenne. "relating to the rendering of accounts of revolutionary taxes, loans, seizures, exchanges & of church silver, & to regulate the form in which these accounts are to be rendered, hereby adopts the following." (in 15 articles.); "1°) Any citizen who has collected or received in deposit in cash, assigats, or gold, silver or vermeil effects, either from revolutionary taxes, contributions, seizures, loans, or exchanges, or from the remains of churches, or from voluntary donations intended to be used for the defence of the Fatherland,..., shall send their accounts, which they are obliged to render, to the national agent of the district before the 1st fructidor...".
