"Capriccio" Pair of canvases 86.5 x 65 cm each One shows the Colosseum, the Arch of Constantine and the Borghese vase On the other, the Temple of Sybil in Tivoli and the Farnese Hercules Initiated into painting by his father Giovanni Francesco Locatelli (1660-1741), he worked with Monsu Alto then, on the latter's death in 1712, joined the studio of Bernardino Fergioni (1674-1738). Later, he worked in the studio of Biagio Puccini. His paintings are kept in museums such as the Fabre Museum in Montpellier or the National Museum of Fine Arts in Stockholm.
