A console in Sarrancolin marble. The top has heart-striped mouldings and decorations supported by two fluted legs adorned with gadroons. The marble used comes from a quarry that was active under Louis XIV and continued to exist until the 1940s. It was then reopened in 1991 by the company Plo. The use of this marble can be found in illustrious places such as the Hall of Mirrors or the fireplace in the Salon de l'Oeil-de-Boeuf in the Palace of Versailles. H 91, W 200.5, D 52.5 cm
