The Altenburg walnut trees. First edition of its "definitive version" in a limited edition and one of the 20350 copies on Alfa (on sale number 11368). Published in Paris, Chez Gallimard, NRF, in 1948. Gilded head and original covers preserved with the back. Les Noyers de l'Altenburg is the last novel by the French writer André Malraux. In 1943, it was published by Editions du Haut-Pays in Lausanne under the title "La Lutte avec l'Ange". Gallimard published a "definitive version" in 1948 under the title Les Noyers de l'Altenburg.
