Dismaland is an ephemeral project led by the enigmatic Banksy between August 22 and September 27, 2015. It is an amusement park designed as an "anti" Disney Land and described as a "family theme park not suitable for children". During its construction, which took several months, there was talk of a film studio to keep the secret of the project. Although very fleeting, the opening of the park was a huge success, attracting about 4000 visitors per day. Everything was organized to make it a "dismal" (= gloomy) experience, to the point of instructing the reception staff to be cold and distant. As always with Banksy, everything is critical in our contemporary society, Cinderella's castle is a ruin, the ducks in the duck pond are oiled and the wooden horses have fallen victim to a Serial Killer.  Conceived as ephemeral from the outset, the park was then dismantled and transported to Calais in France so that the structures could be reused for the construction of migrant shelters in the Calais Jungle.
