PATENT OF INDULGENCE OF A CONDEMNATION TO DEATH, signed by King LOUIS PHILIPPE, King of the French, countersigned by Count PERSIL, given in Paris on April 21, 1834. Louis LE DUC, known as MÉNARD, Cuirassier in the 10th Regiment, is condemned to death, for the crime of assault on his superior, and detained in METZ. Vellum (36,5 x 49 cm) with engraved header. Jean Charles PERSIL (1755-1870) was Minister of Justice and Religious Affairs under Louis Philippe.
