NASA. APOLLO 10 mission. A very nice view of the Earth photographed from a distance of 180 000km. The central and northern part of the African continent and the Mediterranean basin are clearly visible. The members of the Apollo 10 mission are astronauts Thomas P. Stafford, commander; John W. Young, lunar module commander; and Eugene E. Cernan, lunar module pilot. Astronaut Young remained in lunar orbit in the Command and Service Module "Charlie Brown" while astronauts Stafford and Cernan descended 10 miles below in the lunar module "Snoopy.
