NASA. LARGE FORMAT. The HUBBLE space telescope shows us here a galaxy that was the site of a supernova explosion that was created by a white dwarf star. This white dwarf was part of a binary star system and siphoned off mass from its companion, eventually becoming too greedy and taking on more than it could handle. This threw the star out of balance and triggered an uncontrolled nuclear meltdown that eventually led to an extremely violent supernova explosion. 2015.vintage chromogenic print. Numbering on front. Legend on label on the back. 40.6 x 40.6cm with margins.
