PRINCESS OF TALMONT. Note signed by the Maréchal Duc de BELLE-ISLE, with some words in his hand, 1 page small in-4, from Versailles on April 16, 1759: "Good for the sum of four thousand livres". Following, the Princess of TALMONT, having discounted this promissory note and transmitted to Monsieur LEMPEREUR: "Pay for me to Mr Lempereur M Luise Anna Pesse de Talmond". On the back, Monsieur LEMPEREUR wrote and signed in his own hand in Paris on May 10, 1761 (Marshal de Belle-Isle died on January 26, 1761): "I, the undersigned, acknowledge that Monsieur Figuières as executor of the will of the late Monseigneur le Maréchal Duc de Belle-Isle has paid me the sum of four thousand livres for the amount of the note of the other part passed to my order by Madame la Princesse de Talmont, of which sum of four thousand livres I hold my said Sieur Figuières and all others free" - Maria Louisa Anna Princess of TALMONT (also written Talmond) born Jablonowska [1711 - 1773] Cousin of Queen Marie Leszczynska wife of Louis XV), She married Charles Frédéric de la Trémoille Prince of Talmont - She had an "emancipated" life, filled with prestigious lovers such as Stanislas of Poland and Prince Charles Edouard - Charles Louis Auguste Fouquet Duke of Belle-Isle [Villefranche-de-Rouergue 1684 - 1761] Marshal of France in 1740 - Jean Denis LEMPEREUR is a jeweller, As a supplier of the Nobility, he was often their creditor.
