DANCE UNDER THE EMPIRE. 1810 - Piece signed by Pierre GARDEL [Nancy 1758 - 1848] Dancer and Ballet Master. and countersigned by his hand for visa of Count Auguste REMUSAT [1762-1823] Superintendent of the Imperial Theatres, established in Paris on February 20, 1810, 1 page folio (26 x 39 cm): "State of the Expenses relating to the Entertainment attached to the Opera of Pygmalion represented on the Theater of H.M. I. and R. in the Palace of Tuileries on Thursday, December 7, 1809" - Are valued the inherent expenses: emolument of M. Papillon (Inspector of the Dance), copy of the music, allowances of the extras, tailors, expenses of cars.
