Pocket Chronograph - Sold by Kirby Beard in Paris Blackened steel pocket chronograph watch with mechanical movement. - Round blackened steel case, smooth bezel, fluted crown, oval bezel with integrated pusher, officer's back with transparent back. - White enamel dial, black painted Arabic numerals, polychrome painted mileage scale (on 250 km/h), golden "Stuart pear" hands, elapsed minutes totalizer (on 15 minutes) at 12 o'clock with polychrome first five minutes, blued steel straight chronograph seconds hand. The reverse side with a polychrome painted peripheral graduated scale, straight hand in blued steel. Case, dial and movement signed. Movement: mechanical with manual winding. Movement caliber 19/22'''LOB Diameter: 57 mm Rare model presenting the double signature of the Parisian retailer Kirby Beard, provided with a polychromatic tachymetric scale and a glass back with a 100 m scale. Many sports chronographs were launched in the 1920s, with the expansion of sports requiring time measurement (Olympic Games, motor sports, aviation...) A similar model appears in the Omega Museum in Biel under the reference 1131 (page 520). A similar watch (lot 71) was sold at the Omegamania sale of April 14-15, 2007 by Antiquorum for 7,670 CHF Condition report: Good general condition,chip on the glass at 2 o'clock, use scratches and patina on the case, the watch works at the time of the expertise, without guarantee of functioning in time, a use revision advised.
