Seamaster - reference 166.0163 Steel city watch with automatic movement. - Round steel case, smooth bezel, fluted crown, screwed caseback. - Slate grey dial, applied baton hour markers with luminescent dots, luminescent spatula hands, right central second hand, date window at 3 o'clock (grey background). - Black leather strap, metal pin buckle. Case, dial and movement signed. Movement: mechanical with automatic winding. Movement caliber 1012 - numbered 35.444.890 (circa 1972) Case numbered 166.0163 Diameter: 34 mm - Strap length: 16 - 20 cm Extremely similar to the previous watch (lot 47), this watch has an automatic movement. A sign of the importance of showing this technology, the word "Automatic" appears just below the mark. Released in 1972 and produced in approximately 126,000 pieces for the Geneva range, the caliber 1012 is an automatic movement that features a very flat oscillating weight, allowing for a relatively thin watch. The dial is a slate gray painted dial, very changeable depending on the axis of the light. Colored dials were rare at the time. A similar model can be found in the Omega Museum at Biel under the reference 97 (page 478). Condition report: Good general condition, beautiful patina of the hands and indexes, scratches from use and patina on the case, the watch works at the time of the expertise, without guarantee of functioning in time, a revision of use advised.
