Flightmaster - reference 145.026 Steel chronograph watch with mechanical movement. - Steel cushion case, smooth bezel, fluted crowns, screwed caseback. - Black dial, 1/5 minute track painted in white, luminescent painted baton hour markers, straight white painted hands, perpetual seconds at 9 o'clock, elapsed minutes totalizers (over 30 minutes) at 3 o'clock and hours totalizers (over 12 hours) at 6 o'clock with triangular orange painted hands, central arrow second hand for the chronograph function painted in orange, arrow hand for the GMT function painted in blue - Stainless steel bracelet, stainless steel folding clasp (1162). Case, dial and movement signed. Movement: mechanical with manual winding. Movement caliber 911 - numbered 31.637.404 (circa 1971) Case numbered 145.026 Dimensions: 52 x 43 mm - Strap length: 16 - 20 cm While the Speedmaster has become progressively associated with the conquest of space, the Flightmaster was designed from the outset to satisfy airline pilots. With the expansion of civil aviation in the 1970s, pilots needed on-board instruments to calculate various constants. Here we have the second series, recognizable by its perpetual seconds at 9 o'clock and not on a day/night indicator (with green background). A similar model can be found in the Omega Museum in Biel under the reference 3270 (page 515). Condition Report: Good overall condition, good condition of the dial, missing a pump, use scratches and patina on the case, the watch works at the time of the expertise, without guarantee of functioning over time, a use revision advised.
