Nasa. LARGE FORMAT. The 1st Earth survey observed from the Moon by the Apollo 8 Mission. This historic image is the first of the Earth seen from the Moon captured by the astronauts of the Apollo 8 mission on Christmas Eve 1968. Commander Frank Borman first immortalized the scene with a black and white photographic film. Capturing its historic nature, he rotated the command module while command module pilot Jim Lovell captured the scene on color film. It was the first time a human had seen the Earth from the Moon. 1968.. Numbering on the front. Caption on back label. 40,6 x 40,6cm with margins.
