Burghan DOGANCAY (1929-2013, Turkish artist, painter, photographer and sculptor) / Rare testimony of his exhibition "Walls of New York" from September 6 to October 10, 1966 at the American Greeting Gallery in New York through vintage photographs - Dogancay presents this exhibition in 25 envelopes containing a total of 23 color negatives (6 x 6 cm) and 6 slides of his exhibited works, all captioned in typewriter "From Collection (The Walls of New York)" with the title of the work and its dimensions - These are oils on canvas, zinc or glass, some with collages and constructions - Among the titles: "Detour", "Story of Johny and Nancy", "Old Door", "It was Beer House", "The End", "I don't know her", "Teen a go-go", "The are still useful", "After Elections 1965", "Public Telephone" etc. / Enclosed: the booklet of the exhibition, 12 p (20 x 15.5 cm) plus cover, with photographs, an article from the Sunday News of September 16, 1966 and a curriculum-vitae of the artist in English (1 p in-4 typewritten) from his birth in 1925 to 1965 / Enclosed: the envelope (33 x 25 cm) in which the set was contained, titled "Walls of New York - Paintings Collages Constructions by Burhan Dognancay", with numerous handwritten notes (addresses of gallery owners and details in English about the exhibition)
