Nasa. Historic Apollo 11 mission. Fantastic view of the lunar module "EAGLE" going back to the command module of the Apollo 11 mission. This last one, remained in orbit around the Moon while the astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin accomplished the most extraordinary human exploit of all times: walking on the Moon. We are on July 21, 1969, the day after the exploit but a few hours after this one realized at 20H27 Universal Time. The astronauts thus began to walk on the Moon for a duration of approximately two hours and a half towards 11 o'clock in the evening Universal Time after a preparation of almost two hours and a half. They will remain in the "EAGLE" module for another two hours before returning to the APOLLO 11 command module where Mickaël Collins is waiting for them. On this picture we can "see": 3 billions and a half men on the Earth who follow the event live, the two humans in their spacecraft who have just realized the feat of the "Moon Walk" and the author of the photograph who was, during the lunar mission, alone in the command module and thus the loneliest man in the universe especially when he passed on the dark side of the Moon. July 21, 1969.chromogenic print of the period on paper "THIS PAPER MANUFACTURED BU KODAK". Caption on the back. 20,2 x 25,6cm with margins.
