NASA. LARGE FORMAT. Fabulous and rare survey of the Earth observed by the space probe LUNAR RECONNAISSANCE ORBITER from the lunar orbit. The Earth straddles the limb of the Moon. The shadow in the foreground is from the central peaks of the crater. The center of the Earth in this view is just off the coast of Liberia. The large tan area in the upper right is the Sahara Desert, and just beyond that is Saudi Arabia. The Atlantic and Pacific coasts of South America are visible on the left. This photograph provides a contemporary sequel to the Earth survey photographs observed from the Moon, all of which belong to the most mythical body of work in the history of space conquest photography. 2015.period chromogenic print. Numbering on the front. Caption on back label. 40,6 X 40,6CM with margins.
