Chez Guillyn, 1762, new revised and enlarged edition, large in-12, full brown "cognac" calf, gilt garlands, fleurons and title on 2 double nerves on spine, modern binding, XXIV - 495 - (3 bl.) pp, red edges, headbands, warning for this new edition, glossary of cooking terms, seasonal menus, table of contents, the name "Laugardière" is written at the most on the title page (probably the former owner of the family of Robault de Laugardière). "With his Cuisinière bourgeoise, Menon will give a book of practical recipes, easy to execute, and continue the effort of simplification started by Nicolas de Bonnefons in the XVIIth century. This is what made his success, a lasting success, since his book appeared for the first time in 1746 and was then republished until the second half of the 19th century." (Oberlé, Fastes de Bacchus et de Comus, 114). Very nice full light calf binding. Uncommon year of edition. Very good condition of the binding; lack of the bottom of the pre-title page, traces of old wetness in the borders until page 50, no foxing.
