Volume 1 only. Paris, ed. J. G. Dentu, 1815, ORIGINAL EDITION, 1 vol. Volume 1 only, in-8, burgundy half leather, marbled paper covers, small red and brown pebbles, 4 fleurons "bird on a branch", gilt author and title on spine with 4 nerves, period binding, XXI - II - (1) - 464 pp, frontispiece drawn by Carême with his signature and explanation of it, illustrated with 31 folding plates, that is to say a total of 32 plates drawn by Carême, "To Mr. Boucher, controller of the House of the Prince of Talleyrand-Périgord", preface, preliminary speech, "division of this work", Errata. Our copy is the first volume only of the original edition of 1815. Well complete with the required number of plates and the frontispiece. The whole in a beautiful period binding. The best chief of the 19th century is not presented anymore ! But this work is VERY RARE even if there is only the first volume. Very good condition of the binding with a few rare very small scratches and the end of the corners very slightly faded; a few scattered freckles, as usual, especially at the beginning and end of the book. Very good condition of the folding plates.
