PESTE DE LILLE of 1668. Placard (35,5 x 29) given by "Messieurs les Echevins, Conseil, et 8 Hommes, commis à la Chambre de Santé établie en la Ville de LILLE" (Entête, Lettrine), January 5, 1668 - saying that the Contagious Disease is diminishing and decreasing, by the Grace of God, & the human remedies that have been used, "thanks to the Place of Health distant from half a quarter of an hour from the City,... the infection is contained to the body & house of the Pestiferous: & why by means of the Certificates which are dispatched to the private individuals containing that they are not infected with the Contagious disease,... there is no danger of admitting, lodging & receiving such private individuals in garrisons, not more than the goods, commodities & all other things coming from them..."
