Cycling/Peugeot/Bazaine/Le Guevel. Superb lithograph with gushing rider: "Another Peugeot victory, Critérium de la Polymultipliée, 1st Le Guevel, 4th Rossier. Four Lionceaux at the start, four at the finish (with Bouvet and Matron)". Lucien Le Guevel (1914-1989) won the Poly in 1939, but also the Tour de l'Oise in '38 and Paris-Dijon in '43. This Breton from Morbihan was a giant of the road, finishing 36th in the Tour 38 and 35th in the Tour 39. Poster from the studios of Jean Bazaine (1904-2001). 38x58. FINE. Faded. Rare.
