Yes, the Belgian Thys (1890-1971) is the TYPE rider of the Tour, and his yellow-and-blue machine sports the colors of his trademark Peugeot jerseys. Over the 5,500 km of the Tour, Thys was like a fish in water, as evidenced by the fact that he was the first champion to win four Tours: the Tour Indépendant Peugeot in 1911, and the Tours 1913,14, 20.
