Fencing/Faria. Lithograph: "L'escrimeur belle époque dans sa plénitude... "The famous 3-M rule of the belle époque fencing halls shines through here: le Monocle, la Moustache, la Maestria (left hand up, step forward), in other words, class. This fencer with his heart on his chest has a family resemblance with champion Jean-François Lamour, according to Maître Lacaze. One thing's for sure, though: his attitude, white outfit and black socks and shoes are awe-inspiring. A marvel from the Atelier Faria. Imprimerie Affiches Faria, 6 rue de Steinkerque, Paris. 72X27.
