With this strident poster, we're in the immediate post-war period, with four sports newspapers having risen from the ashes in early 1946, and "Sports" was the first to appear on February 2, 1946, three weeks before "Record", "Elans" and "L'Equipe" (an extension of "L'Auto"). Only the latter remained, "Sports" and its pretty blue banner having disappeared on October 4, 1948.
