Presse Sportive/Sports/Libération/Chany/Baker... - Lot 303 - Vermot et Associés
Presse Sportive/Sports/Libération/Chany/Baker d'Isy. Original and very dynamic poster with its Hugolian crier for one of the major sports newspapers of the Liberation: "Soyez Sport, en lisant Sports... "after ...BE. 60X40.framed. With this strident poster, we're in the immediate post-war period, with four sports newspapers having risen from the ashes in early 1946, and "Sports" was the first to appear on February 2, 1946, three weeks before "Record", "Elans" and "L'Equipe" (an extension of "L'Auto"). Only the latter remained, "Sports" and its pretty blue banner having disappeared on October 4, 1948. "Sports", which had appeared under the title "Sport Libre" in the underground, had a sparkling editorial team in the wake of its founder Auguste Delaune (shot by the occupying forces), ranging from Albert Baker d'Isy, Terbeen and François Thébaut to Pierre Chany, Pellos and Raymond Meyer. 59 x 39.5 cm. Minor tears
