Rugby/Cup/Nîmes/Placage. Very rare poster celebrating the involvement in rugby of a daring winegrower, who even organized THE Sautel Wine Cup: "Sautel wine, an aperitif that stimulates and comforts, Sautel Cup, an aperitif that can be drunk neat or with lemonade...". Circa 1935. By the excellent Nîmes graphic designers Bonnard and Fresquet. Beautiful image of a veneer with legs. Canvas lithograph. 60X40 TBE. Sautel, founded in 1796, fell into decline in the 1960s, before moving back to the Canteperdrix winery in Mazan (near Ventoux) in 1997. A great Grenache, with cinnamon and orange peel, can't lose. 79 x 60 cm. Pitting.
