FREDERIC-GUILLAUME II of PRUSSIA (1744-1797, King of Prussia from 1786 to his death) / Letter in French signed in his hand, 1 p petit in-4, Berlin, March 7, 1795, to Marquis de Boyer d'Eguilles (emigré of the French Revolution): "You have only to send me here your three sons, I will place the eldest as Ensigns in Depot Battalions, the youngest, being of an age still to begin his career by the first step, will first be a Cadet in a Regiment. I will take care of the fate of all three if they strive, as I have no doubt they will, to merit my kindnesses".
