Napoléon-Jérôme BONAPARTE (known as "Plon-Plon", 1822-1891, son of Jérôme Bonaparte, nephew of Napoléon I, brother of Princess Mathilde and first cousin of Napoléon III) / "Napoléon et ses Détracteurs", Calman-Lévy Editeur, Paris, 1887, bound in half-maroquin with corners, spine ribbed with gilt and ornate caissons, top edge gilt, copy enriched with an autograph letter signed to the woman of letters Louise Lepic 1827-1894) given in Prangins (Switzerland) on September 24, 1887 ("L'auteur qui n'oublie pas" and an autograph letter signed (2 p in-8) from Prangins on September 30, 1887, to Madame Louise Lepic: "Your letters are a ray of sunshine in my exile" (he had been struck by the 1886 Exile Law for members of France's former ruling families), "What sad events since I last saw you!
