PRESIDIAL OF SAINTES : "We, Jacques GUYTARD (or Guitard) Ecuyer Conseiller du Roy et Lieutenant Général Sénéchaussée de SAINTONGE au Siège de SAINTES, have paid Helyes ROUGIER Maître Menuisier de la présente ville, for having made a Haultenant in the Salle de l'Audience du Siège Présidial de la présente ville in which, there are two doors and above the Haultenant, with on one side and one end two aspic fronts with cornices, moldings and friezes and five vases above the said aspic front and for the February of the two doors iron clamps to hold the said Haultement and nails, all supplied...
