Other Games/ Universiades/ Paris/ Budapest/ PUC/ Petijean/Bobet. Six pieces on the great student club and the Games reserved for Universities and Fundamentals, between the Universiades created in 1923 and the World University Games, which saw the light of day in 1947 in Prague, there will be a small overlap, to which the items on offer partly testify:a) three pieces, including two copies of the official (blue, white, red) enamelled badge (brooch on back), "Ixè Jeux Mondiaux Universitaires, Paris, août 1947" (stadium lanes tricolor flag, book). Signed Cathelin, and J.Decat, Linne, Paris, 4x4. The first edition took place in Paris in 1923; here, Paris, organizes the 4th; moving round embroidered fabric badge: "Ossu, France Universitaire, 1947" with flame, book, globe...Diam 7.5. a) Embroidered fabric badge: "France, Budapest, 1949", the three colors, the globe.". This is a French team crest, like this one, worn by Jean Bobet when, at the age of 19, he became double university world champion (9.5x7.5); b) Two major pieces on the great violin club: c) the magazine "L'Université Nouvelle", n°2 of the 1st year, Nov. 15, 1923, published on Thursdays. On the front page, PUC-Standard at Stade Jean-Petijean. Perfect condition. 32X25; d) very old small enamelled pin with roller "PUC" in perfect condition (for buttonhole), superb. A rare and very coherent set, as M.Petijean, first President of the PUC (1920-25) is also the forgotten inventor of the University Games.
