Extremely rare document, completely unknown and yet at the heart of the Olympic Games: "Exposition Internationale des Sports, Paris 1924, Diplôme de médaille d'or à M.René Garnier, République Française, Ministère du Commerce et de l'Industrie." Nicely composed lithograph by sports graphic designers Fraisse-Demey, the harmonious cohabitation of the athlete with his attributes (fin, shot, etc.) and the goddess of commerce (propeller, cog)....55x33. Small stain at bottom. Nicely framed.
