Women's sports/ Eclecticism/ Curiosa. Amazing lithograph "Académies des Sports", by G de Baeul (?). The artist, whose signature is hard to read, shows us that in the Roaring Twenties, he had glimpsed a world where, in the simplest, most natural surroundings, the most beautiful academies could unashamedly practice all sports, from polo to middle-distance running behind a motorcycle, via rugby, oval ball, rowing and tennis.Is this joyful utopia an influence of Violette Morris (1893-1944), who was also a pioneer in all these disciplines and specialties?
