London, 1753, 53 pages. Rare first edition of this landmark essay - in favor of freedom - in the debate on the grain trade at the turn of the 18th century. 2/Discours sur les vignes. Dijon, et Paris, Pissot, 1756. 68 pages. The only published edition of this extremely rare text. The author opposes regulations that restrict vineyards in favor of other crops. He argues for total freedom to plant vines, and refutes the economic, dietary, agronomic and moral arguments in favor of such limitations. Virtually nothing is known about the life of C.-J. Hebert (1700-1758), except that he held the office of Carrosses de Bordeaux. Work decorated with figures, in particular that of a press of a new invention. Paris, Savoye, 1752. 102 pages + 1 ff table. 3 folding plates (tears not missing). Very rare, especially complete.
