NASA. Apollo 11. A historic view that brings together in a fantastic photographic tableau the impressive dark silhouette of the lunar surface, dominated by a fantastic survey of the Earth, with the upper part of the "EAGLE" lunar module in the foreground. On board were astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin, who had just accomplished the most fabulous feat of all time: walking on the Moon. On Earth, 3 billion people followed the event with fervor. The photograph was taken from the command module of the Apollo 11 mission by Michael Collins, who was the loneliest man in the solar system during the feat, orbiting the Moon alone, cut off from his lunar colleagues and the Earth as he orbited the far side of the Moon. July 20, 1969.vintage chromogenic print on "THIS PAPER MANUFACTURED BY KODAK" paper. NASA logo and typed caption on back. 20.2 x 25.3CM with margins.
