NASA. Mosaic of the planet MARS taken by the Mariner 9 space probe. This historic photograph is the first of its kind. It was obtained using 1,500 computers to gather images taken by the probe's cameras. It is one of the first such precise images of the planet Mars. The giant Olympus volcano, 600 km in diameter and 25 km high, is clearly visible in the center. 1971-1972. Vintage chromogenic print on "THIS PAPER MANUFACTURED BY KODAK" paper. 18.4 x 21.8cm with margins.
