André DIGNIMONT (1891-1965, painter and illustrator) / Autograph correspondence signed on 2 old postcards, Paris, July 14, 1947 (he drew 2 flags), to art critic Anatole Jakovsky: his correspondent didn't show up for the appointment and he won't be able to accept his unannounced visit, if "I have at home a model or a portrait to do or visitors, it's not possible for me to receive you as I would like"; he likes the manuscript he entrusted to him and would like to illustrate it, but "neither can I, without being sure of a publisher, launch myself into a work with an uncertain goal and abandon others".
