VENDEE MILITAIRE - General DELAAGE (1766-1840) Republican general, the victor of Charrette: LAS dated April 4, 1794. Two pages in-4 with the indication "Armée de l'Ouest". General Delaage's pre-revolutionary service record in the first part, then in the second part he details his action in the Vendée: "...I was entrusted with the command of the light infantry under Marigny's orders, the latter having been separated from the cavalry, I commanded the light advance guard alone, until the 1st of Ventose; it is with it that, on the morning of the 22nd of Frimaire, I have the honor of relieving the Tilly Brigade at 3 a.m., and of taking the town at full speed at daybreak, according to the orders of Kléber and Manceau...". "...finally Kléber, according to General Turreau's orders, entrusted me with the surveillance of the right bank of the Loire, from ST Georges to Touarcé. A rare and important historical document.
