THE COMTESSE EBLÉ, born Édeline Louise Fréteau de Pény (1789-1838), daughter of Emmanuel Fréteau de Pény (victim of the French Revolution), lord of Vaux-le-Pénil and Saint-Liesne, grand chamber councillor at the Paris parliament, deputy to the Estates-General of 1789. She married General Eblé on April 5, 1809, who went on to become a bridge-builder on the Berezina in 1812 - Lettre A.S. (July 1814). Business letter signed "La Comtesse Eblé."
