This officer enjoyed the affection of his comrades and the esteem of his commanders through his unblemished and unreproachable conduct in all circumstances known to me. He earned the praise of some and the approval of others. I further certify that I have since seen him attached in the same capacity to the HAUTES-ALPES Legion, and that his Chiefs and comrades also held him in the highest esteem."
