March 16, 1822. 2 pages in-4° - to Mgr l'Archevêque de SENS, Premier Aumônier de S.A.R. de Madame au Château des Tuileries, France: "Monseigneur. I don't know if or how I failed to fulfill your Metropolitan Primate's Rights, if you wished to punish me by depriving me of your Lenten mandate, which I did not receive... As for my pastoral instruction, of which I beg you to approve a copy, I could not send it earlier, as it has just come off the presses of my printer... the Chaplain of the Hôtel Dieu de SENS wrote to me to ask for a place in my Diocese... I told him that I could not receive him without your prior approval."
