LAOS - THAILAND / USAOM Mission(In September 1954, a group of ISAOM Public Works engineers (Messrs. Kirby, Dye and Mack) undertook a mission to Laos and Thailand to study, from sites along the Mekong River, projects such as the laying of railroads and the location of cargo loading docks, in order to facilitate the flow of cargo between Thailand and Laos; during their 2-week campaign down the Mekong, they had the opportunity to visit the island of Khone, where they inspected a temporary railroad built by the French to link the south of the island with the north, given that the Mekong is impassable at this point due to rapids and waterfalls; they also visited the infrastructure of Thakhet and the port of Bangkok) / Set of 12 original photographs taken during this mission, all captioned and numbered, with "Stem CLV Photo Foa Saigon" stamped on the back (18 x 24 with margin).
