Vaucher Frères Alarm pocket watch in silver 800 thousandths and metal with mechanical movement. - Round case, smooth bezel, round bezel, officer's caseback with openworked cuvette. - White enamel dial, black-painted Breguet numerals, stylized hands, blued steel alarm. A watch with a similar movement sold at Christies in New York in December 2014. Case numbered 5359 - 26 - 11016 Mechanical hand-wound movement with key, cock and fusée chain with alarm function, signed and numbered 11016. Diameter: 60 mm - Gross weight: 184.48 g Provenance: Collection of Mr. Y, by descent. Sold for the benefit of the Djehouty Endowment Fund, in support of education for disadvantaged children around the world. Condition report: Good cosmetic condition, scratches from use, cracks on the dial, the watch is functioning at the time of appraisal, an overhaul recommended.
