VORAGINE (Jacques de): Sermones de tempore. Lyon or Paris, circa 1528. In-12 19th-century brown calf, ribbed spine decorated in the grotesque style, red edges. Beautiful edition printed in Gothic type on two columns. Difficult to date this copy precisely, as the title page and colophon are missing, as is perhaps the alphabetical table, if there was to be one in this edition...Voragine's sermons are less well known than the "Légende dorée", yet they were a great success and were printed as early as 1473. Gothic lettering on two columns. Numerous initials in the text. A fine copy.
