MARINE. Anne-Antoine Comte d'ACHÉ de SERQUIGNY, Vice-Admiral of the Levant Fleet (Marbeuf/Eure 1702 - 1780). Autograph letter signed D'ACHÉ, January 6, 1760, to Mr de Montheille aboard his Frégate "La Sylphide". 1 page gd in-8°: "I have just been told, My Dear Montplaisir, that you are taking bread for your crew from the Colony's supplies. You told me three days ago that it would be wrong to say that you were a burden on the Colony, since you took nothing and lived off your Frégate. I beg you to clear up this matter so that I can tell Mr Des Forge the truth..."
